For this project, I chose the song Saturday Sun, by Vance Joy because of its cheery mood. I wanted to show the emotion through use of color and playful movement of the lyrics. I chose a 45 second section at the end of the song including two repetitions of the chorus. I wanted the first part to feel like a day at the beach watching a sunset, as “the West Coast” is mentioned in the lyrics.
